We are going to solve the equations stellar structure - with some simplified assumptions. (a) Obtain an expression for the pressure profile (ie P(r)) of a star with constant density p, where the outer boundary, R, is P(R)=0. (b) Use the appropriate equation of state to obtain the related temperature profile, T(r). (c) The generation of energy in a star is given by e(p, T, composition). In the star described above, e x T4 as is approximately true for the p-p chain. At what radius will the energy generation drop to 20% of the central value? Ignore the effects of composition on the energy generation.
