Prior to its charging with an amino acid, how is the 3' end of a transfer RNA modified from its original structure as an RNA Pol III transcript? When it is not bound by the ribosome, a mature tRNA is usually bound in the cytoplasm by one of two proteins. What are these proteins and what is different about the tRNAs bound by each?
