(a) Cisplatin is used widely for the treatment of a variety of solid tumours. It forms adducts with cancer cell DNA that, if not repaired, can be cytotoxic. Give a short explanation for each of the following observations regarding how Cisplatin targets DNA:
Intra-strand crosslinks between adjacent G bases are most common, intra-strand crosslinks between an A base and a G base are rarer, and inter-strand cross links between G bases are the least common.
