5. (a) A 3.0 kg hoop of radius = 0.20 m is rolling smoothly on a tabletop with a constant speed at the center of the mass, Vcom = 1.5 m/s. Calculate the kinetic energy of the hoop when it is rolling, given I = MR² [3 marks] (b) The figure below shows an overhead view of three thin rods that are welded in triangle shape. The mass and the length of each thin rod are 0.4 kg and 0.6 m respectively. The thin rods are rotated from rest in horizontal plane about an axis at point O. Calculate the total rotational inertia of the rotating thin rods. [Hint: Calculate the rotational inertia of one thin rod at a time. Then add all three parts of 1 rotational inertia].
