Apparent temperature (AT) (sometimes referred to as heat index), is a function of air temperature in degrees Fahrenheit and relative humidity, as a decimal, between 0 and 1. Apparent temperature (AT) is calculated using the following equation:
AT = 2.70 + (0.885 x air temperature) — (78.7 x relative humidity) + (1.20 x air temperature x relative humidity)
Calculate the apparent temperature (AT) for air temperature 85°F at 75% relative humidity.
