A fine light beam reaches the water surface of an aquarium at an
angle of 45° (Figure opposite). The refracted ray touches a
horizontal mirror at the bottom of the aquarium which reflects it
towards the surface of the water where it is refracted when passing
through the air (index n₁=1). The refractive index of water is n =
1.33. What angle is measured between the incident ray and the ray
leaving the water?
