Kindly solve numbers 1-4 and provide what is asked.
1. The flow of a liquid in a 2-in. diameter steel pipe produces a pressure drop due to friction of 60 kPa. The length of pipe is 50 m and the mean velocity is 2 m/s. If the density of the liquid is 1,000 kg/m³, then (20 pts) a. Determine the Reynolds number b. Determine if the flow is laminar or turbulent c. Compute viscosity of the liquid d. Compute the mass flow rate

2. A pump at an elevation of 300m is pumping 0.05 m³/s of water through 2.4 km of 150-mm pipe to a reservoir whose level is at an elevation of 380m. What pressure will be found in the pipe at a point where the elevation is 335m above the datum and the distance (measured along the pipe) from the pipe is 970m? Compute the capacity of the pump. Use E/D= 1.5384x10-³ (20 pts)

3. The milk tank in figure 1 is being filled through section 1 at 6m/s and through section 3 at 15 L/s. If the liquid level remains constant, determine (a) the exit velocity v₂ and (b) flow rates at sections 1 & 2. (20pts) Section 3 15 L/s Section 1 D = 40 mm LD-0.9 m- Figure 1 Section 2 D=60mm

Question 4 20 points 4. Sulfuric acid with a specific gravity of 1.98 and viscosity of 26.7 cP is flowing in a 35 mm diameter pipe. If the acid flow rate is 1000 L/min, determine the pressure drop due to friction for a 100 yards length of smooth pipe? Compute the headloss due to friction for an 80-mm diameter steel pipe of the same length. (20 pts).
