A 1.5 mm thick platinum membrane is used to contain flowing hydrogen gas at a temperature of 500°C. Under steady state conditions, a net flux of 1.5 g of hydrogen is measured over a time period of 1 h. The area of the membrane is 0.1 m², and the concentration on the high-pressure side of the membrane is 2.8 kg H/m³ and the concentration on the low-pressure side of the membrane is 0.2 kg H/m³. Calculate the diffusion coefficient of hydrogen through the platinum membrane.
