Written response question 4 (Q4) A recent study from MIT made a discovery of high-affinity peptide binders for severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) spike glycoprotein, which opens the door for the development of rapid viral identification or conjugates for virus-directed delivery of therapeutics. The 13 residue peptide with sequence LVMGLNAWNMWYK showed highest affinity for the SARS-CoV-2 spike residue binding domain. a) Write a sequence of bases in mRNA that would result in the synthesis of that polypeptide. b) Write the base sequence on the sense strand of DNA that would result in formation of that fragment of mRNA.
