5. A laboratory system must be designed to combust biomass for an undergraduate experiment. The Professors concept is to have biomass in a sealed container at the top, open a valve and let it fall into a hot furnace with air flowing. The biomass is expected to be heated and combusted as a batch process with gas emissions monitored in real time. Describe the control systems, monitoring systems and safety systems to ensure safe operation for students (and Professors). (4 marks)
