The conveyor chain shown to the right is manufactured of 1040
cold drawn pins, and 102 cold drawn bushings and plates. The
bushings can be assumed to float on the pin, and therefore carry no
load.
Find the allowable tensile repeated
force considering:
a. Shear of the pin
b.Bearing of the pin on the side
plates
c. Tension in the side
plates
6 mm Bushing 30 mm- B Pin 14 mm dia Side Plate
