We have a lead screw, shown below, with the average diameter of
40 mm and it has a flat thread (profile angle 2 = 0 °)
with two threaded inputs and a gradient/climb of 24 mm. The
friction number between the screw thread and the thread in
the fixed block is 0.15.
If the torque M = 60 Nm acts on the right part of the screw,
what force F is then required to move the screw to:
a) the left at constant speed?
