Problem 1 a. Suppose that a flat area with center at (x0,y0) is illuminated by a light source with an illumination distribution: i(x, y) = Ke¯¹(**º)²+(²-yº)² + ((x-x0)(y-yo)) ² If the reflectance characteristic of the area is: r(x, y) = 10(x- x0)+10(y- y0) +20 What is the value of K that would yield an intensity of 200 at (x0,y0)? (Note that this "reflectance characteristic" is not strictly "reflectance" as we defined it in the lectures, as it can be greater than 1. Just ignore this lack of rigor in terminology for now and let the reflectance characteristic have values greater than one for this problem.)
