LABORATORY 3: TIME DEPENDENT SIGNAL CHARACTERISTICS 1. OBJECTIVES The primary objectives of this laboratory are: • Observing and measuring analog time independent and dependent signals. • Observing mathematical processes between signals, which have different frequencies, amplitudes and phase. 2. MATERIALS The equipment and software required to complete this laboratory are: • MATLAB . PC

A dynamic function is a function which have a quantity (especially time). The result of the function changes depend on quantity. These functions could be expressed as harmonically. In most elementary form: y(t) =A..sin(2.x.f.t+0) +DC Where, A = amplitude y = instantaneous result, f= frequency(1/s) t=any time interval DC offset value 0 = phase A process repeat itself with a constant period called a periodic function and it has frequency which is cycles per second, hertz. 1 Hz= 1 cycle in 1 second

4. PROCEDURE 1. Construct three sinusoidal signals with same frequency and phase but different amplitudes. Show them in the same graph. 2. Construct three sinusoidal signals with same amplitude and phase but different frequencies. Show them in the same graph.

3. Construct three sinusoidal signals with same frequency and amplitude but different phases. Show them in the same graph. 4. Construct two sinusoidal signals with same frequency, phase and amplitudes but different DC offset. Show them in the same graph.
