C R HHH R Three capacitors are charged with a battery of potential epsilon. Then they are connected as shown below using two resistors. How much heat is released on each resistor? Use energy conservation. Change in total capacitor energy of final and initial state went to heat. Initial energy is easy to calculate. Problem is to find out the final state energy of the capacitors.
