An inspector from the Department Trade and Industry (DTI) suspects the bags may not contain 1 kilogram. A sample of 40 bags produces a mean of 0.96 kilograms and a standard deviation of 0.12 kilogram. Is there enough evidence to conclude that the bags do not contain I kilogram as stated at a = 0.05.

This task is a two-tailed test. If greater than 1.960 or less than -1.960, reject Ho. If in between -1.960 and 1.960, accept Ho.
