The manager at a manufacturing plant in Irvine is interested in finding out if the training program will make any difference in production rates. Eight workers were randomly selected and the production rates were recorded before and after they went through the training program, as shown in the following table. We define the difference between the two groups of data as production rate (after) - production rate (before) and conduct a hypothesis test to determine if the difference is significant.
