Acalanes High School for 2021-2022. This gives a good idea of
how a larger program has multiple detailed budgets. You need
to put all these budgets together into a master budget. Then
break that master budget into a common size budget where you can
see where the revenue sources and expenses are. (For example,
what percentage of the total budget are student fees?) Then
do a worst-case scenario for next year where the virus has impacted
sports and they anticipate a 15% decline in student
participation. This will significantly impact the
budget. Your job is to balance the budget with the least
amount of disruption…such as not cancelling a sport.
