The membrane process is to be operated with a feed-side pressure of Ph = 80 cm Hg and permeate-side pressure of p₁ = 20 cm Hg. Gas A has a permeability of P = 400 x 10-10 cm³ (STP) cm/(s cm² cm Hg), and the separation factor between gas A and B is . . . a = 10.
