The plate in the figure is welded to a column and subjected to an eccentric force of P = 120 KN. The dimensions are a = 240 mm, b = 320 mm, c = 260 mm, d = 3, and e = 4. +2" 2" -8x6x1/4 -3/4" bolts O O O O Calculate the allowable tensile load, P based on the gross area of the plate if Fy = 36ksi Calculate the allowable tensile load, P based on the net area of the plate. Use Ct = 1.0 O O O
