2. Three industrial loads are supplied by a single-phase ac power supply with the parameters V₁ = 23020° V (rms), w = 314.15 rad/s. The equivalent circuit is shown in Figure 2 and the loads' parameters are Load 1: R₁ = 10 Load 2: R₂jXc = (2-j6) Load 3: jXL = j2 n Is R₂ Vs Figure 2 (a) Calculate the current Is. [4 marks] (b) Calculate the active and reactive power provided by the source. [6 marks] (c) Calculate the power factor at the source. [2 marks] (d) Provide a modification of the circuit shown in Figure 2 to achieve unity power factor at the source. Justify your answer with a short explanation and calculate the value of the circuit element(s) for the modified circuit.
