Question 3 (a) Figure 3.1 shows the circuit of a silicon transistor amplifier. The DC current gain of the transistor is 120 and the DC collector current is to be 2 mA. Calculate appropriate values for Rc, R₁ and R₂. You should clearly show all of your calculations and explain and justify any assumptions you make. However, when it is connected to the input of a second amplifier the amplitude reduces by a factor of 0.4. Explain this effect and calculate the input resistance of the second amplifier.
