In a digital TDMA cellular mobile system, 5 carrier frequencies are allocated to a high capacity cell. The burst transmission rate per user is 100kb/s (kilo bits per second). The TDMA frame size is 30 millisecond (ms). Each burst consists of 500 bits of coded data, 60 bits for synchronisation and training sequence, 32 bits for other signalling messages and a guard period of 8-bit long duration: (c) If the system is planned to provide a telephony service with Grade of Service (GoS) of 2%, calculate the following: (i) Total carried traffic (ii) Number of voice user that can be supported if each user makes a call of average duration 1.3minutes in a busy hour.
