Question 4 A multicore processor is a single computing component comprised of two or more CPUs that read and execute the actual program instructions. The individual cores can execute multiple instructions in parallel, increasing the performance of software which is written to take advantage of the unique architecture. Compare TWO (2) processors that use the multicore technology that are currently being produced for desktop computers. You can compare different processors from the same manufacturer (such as two Intel processors) or different processors from different manufacturers (such as Intel and AMD). Use standard industry benchmarks for your comparison. In your own words: • Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each processor. • State which processor in your opinion is better and justify your reasons. Your arguments must be provided with justifications. Note: 1) Word count: 200 to 400 words. Please state your word count. 2) Your answer must be in an essay format (NOT bullet point format). 3) You must use AT LEAST TWO (2) sources and cite them in your text using APA format. 4) Provide a reference list (take note that reference list can be typed instead of handwritten). 5) Use your own words.
