A eukaryote pre-mRNA shown is alternatively spliced, resulting in multiple mature mRNA isoforms (Figure 1A below). In order to detect these, you perform a Northern blot on the spliced mature mRNA using Probes 1, 2 and 3 that bind in the indicated positions. For probes 1 and 3, you observe the banding patterns shown in Figure 1B below. (a) Using the banding patterns for probe 1 and 3, list all possible splice variants.
