b) After several flooding events, a wide spillway is constructed to avoid overflow and to reduce the risk of flooding. A large fraction of the destructive power of water is dissipated by a hydraulic jump which the water rises form 0.50m to 4.0m. Determine the Froude number of the flow before and after the jump and the mechanical power dissipated per meter width of the spillway.
