Problem: Let’s take this to a more extreme. Suppose you are told
that for a data set on the age at death from persons dying from
pneumonia: 20 percent were nearly newborn babies and the remaining
80 percent where all persons over 75 years old (perhaps up to a
maximum of 99). Take a few minutes to try to imagine what the
resulting boxplot would look like. Any thoughts? Your answer should
include an at least approximate answer to the values of the key
quartiles and what that then implies about the shape. ........
