of an agricultural waste system. Part of the request is to design
an anaerobic lagoon to handle the waste from her 500 cow dairy
operation with a recommended minimum volume for dairy waste of 9.21
cubic meter per 1000kg of animal. the average cow weighs 590kg with
a waste of 0.028 cu.m/day/cow. in order to successfully accomplish
the work, determine the total volume of lagoon considering 180 days
retention or storage days, a water dilution of 1:2 (water:waste),
0.2m rainfall depth at 25-year, 24 hr storm and a freeboard of 1
