A pump system contains the following fittings. Please calculate
the head loss for each of
the fitting and the total head loss of all the fittings
together.
(a) A 2 in. standard 90o elbow with flow rate of 40 gpm;
(b) A 4 in. globe valve with flow rate of 200 gpm;
(c) The branch of 3 in. standard tee with 150 gpm;
(d)A control valve with a Cv = 60 gpm that is used to control
the flow in a coil requiring
130 gpm.
(e)Total head loss.
