12.37 Design a square plain concrete column footing to support a 300-mm X 300-mm reinforced concrete col- umn that in turn is supporting a 130-kN dead load and a 200-KN live load. f = 28 MPa, and q = 210 kN/m². The base of the footing is to be 1.500 m below the final grade. Concrete weight = 24 kN/m³ and soil weight 16 kN/m³. (Ans. 1400 mm wide and 520 mm thick)
