QUESTIONS Your friend's car ran out of gas, so she called her sister's husband. He arrived at the meeting point with his panel van. He decided to siphon some gasoline from the gas tank of his panel van to a gas can before transferring to your friend's car. Diameter of the siphon (i.e. hose, pipe) is 5 mm. (50 points) a) Determine the time to withdraw 4 liters of gasoline from the tank to the gas can. b) What is the pressure at the highest point of the siphon at 1? (Section 1 is 2.75 m above the discharge (exit) section) The density of gasoline is 750kg/m³. Neglect frictional losses in the siphon. Elevation differences between critical points are shown in the figure.
