As shown in the figure below, we want to send water to a place
200m away through a water pipe. The gauge pressure at the inlet of
the pump used to send water is 1 kPa. It is assumed that the
diameter of the water pipe is D = 50 mm, the flow is at a steady
state, and the negative losses associated with the elbow and outlet
losses are neglected. Assume that the density of water is 1,000
kg/m3 and that the roughness of the inside of the pipe is e = 0.05
mm.
The head increased by the pump is 1.31 m2/s2 (Dhpump=0.27 m2/s2)
Calculate the flow value (Q) of the water pipe in this case.
