Consider a Rankine cycle. In the cycle, steam is supplied to the high-pressure turbine at pressure of 20 MPa, temperature of 600 °C. The high-pressure turbine section expands to 1 MPa, and then flow is reheated to 500 °C followed by expansion in the low-pressure turbine. The pressure of condenser is 5 kPa. The outlet of condenser is saturated liquid. Assuming the isentropic efficiencies of high-pressure turbine and low-pressure turbine to be 100% and 85%, respectively, calculate the specific net work and the efficiency of the cycle. (All other components are ideal) P3=20 MPa T3-600 °C Turbine (3 P4=1 MPa Reheat P₂ = P3 Pump HPT LPT (5) P₁ = P4 T5=500 °C P₁ = P6 P6 = 5 kPa Condenser
