Consider at mean: the degree of reaction 0.5, flow coefficient 0.6, and stage loading 0.3. The hub to tip radius ratio at the first stage is 0.4. Determine the air and blade angles at rotor and stator entry, number of stages, corrected stage temperature rise if required, rotational speed, power required, pressure ratio developed by the stage and maximum relative Mach number in the whole compressor. Draw velocity triangle for first stage at mean.
