QUESTION 2 A conducting rod of length 90 cm having a resistance of 1800 μ2 per metre is moved through a magnetic field of flux density 1.1 T. The rod is connected in series to a resistor having a resistance of 0.60. Assuming that only 90% of the conducting rod length was cut by the magnetic field, calculate: 2.1 The emf induced in the rod if it is moved through the magnetic field at a velocity of 10 m/s 2.2 The force required to keep the rod in motion (3) (4)
