Preparation to the Final Test A voltage controlled DC permanent magnet brush motor is equipped with a speed reduction gearbox 1:8. It is connected to a rotating table of a miniature lathe. The connection stiffness and damping properties are described by k₂ and h₂ coefficients. Moment of inertia of the table is J. During cutting the table can be loaded with torque M₁. gearbox k2 1:8 ML h2 J2 DC electric motor connection driven table Assuming that the gearbox is massless, infinitely stiff and mechanical power is transmitted through gears without losses, test simulation model of the described drive. Do the test in the following steps. 1. Prepare a script file with necessary data for the drive simulation. For DC motor take the same data as were used in laboratory exercises No. 2, 3 and 4. If you have moment of inertia of the motor equal J, and stiffness and damping coefficients equal k and h correspondingly, then take J₂=60*J, k₂= 5*k, h₂ = 0,05 h. 2. Show on a scope the motor starting process from stand still to no-load rotational velocity when supplied with 80% of its rated voltage. 3. Show the change of the speed found previously (step No. 2) when the table is loaded with torque M₁ = 6*M, where M, is the rated torque (maximum continuous torque) of the motor. Remark: Remember to "reduce" parameters J₂ and M, for the table to the motor shaft.
