Q: The dispersion relation for a one dimensional crystal with two atoms per cell (M₁ =31 a. u. and M ₂ = 33 a. u. ) is @4 - 2C M₁ + M₂ ·@² + 20² M₁M₂ - (1 - cos Ka) = 0 M₁M₂ Where a is the length of the cell and M₁, M₂ are the masses of the two atoms. determine the roots to the dispersion relation at the Brillouin zone center and at the zone boundary.
