(a) A moving company is hoisting a piano, shown in Figure 5.1, using two chains attached to a crane. The two forces acting along the chains are FA and FB (see Figure 5.1). The resultant force FR due these two forces is 800 N directed vertically upwards (i) Assuming 0 = 30 and both the forces are equal, determine the magnitudes of forces FA and FB acting on each chain [4 marks] (ii) Assuming the two forces FA and F&to be unequal. Determine the angle 8 of FB so that the magnitude of FB is a minimum. Find the corresponding magnitudes of FA and FB in this case.
