This project involves the development of a learning experience that you could implement into the service that promotes cultural cultural inclusion.
To complete the project:
1. Decide on an activity thay positively promotes an aspect of a specific culture. You can choose a culture you are familiar with or select one to expand on your own learning
2. when selecting the learning activity consider the cultural differences that may exist across children. you may need to consider how you will overcome any barries to their participation as a result of cultural beliefs
3. Create a learning experience for the children of the service. Ensure that your learning experience is age appropriate
4. Develop any supporting resources that you may need to use part of learning experience
5. Select two stakeholders that you can work with to discuss and seek support for the development of the learning experience
6. Consult one external agency or organisation that can provide tesoyrces or guideance to assist you in tje development of your learning experience. They may be able to provide additional more instrinsic guidance resources or props to make the experience more authentic
7. Ensure that your learning experience promotes inclusion for all children
8. Determine how you will encourage participation by the children
9. Document any discussions that you have with stakeholders as part of the overall development
10. Confirm the plans taking into consideration all of the feedback and advice providee by the stakeholders
Include the following information in your learning experience project:
1. The age group for whom the learning experience was designed for
2. The purpose of the learning experience
3. Any outcomes that you hope to achieve by providing the learning experience
4. An outline of the activities that children will undertake during the learning experience .i.e. build something draw something, learn a cultural dance
5. The resources you will need to conduct through learning experience
6. Strategies for inclusion of the families of the children in at least one aspect of the learning activity
7. Opportunities for children to explore the culture through the learning activity
8. Opportunities for the children to positively communicate and interact with each other throughout the activity
Assessor will be looking for evidence that you have developed a learning experience that:
It promotes cultural diversity and practices inclusivity
It has been developed in consultation with various stakeholders families, community, colleagues
It uses a range of experiences
It uses culturally sensitive language and techniques
where possible it involves the inclusion of parents, families and the community to enhance relationships and cultural interactions
It Provides the opportunity for children to appriceate differences in different languages
it fosters inclusion for the children and enhances positive attitudes
