Assess the requirements to diagnose fractures with or without casting treatment protocols, including patient education and pre- and post-cast removal if needed. Then, answer the following in a Word document: Name and describe the different types of fractures and their characteristics. List the medical supplies that will be needed if the patients will receive a cast for treatment. Describe the steps to assist the provider with the application and removal of a cast. It is your role as a medical assistant to educate patient before, during, and after the diagnosis of a fracture. Please describe your office protocol for patient education.
