NUMBER 1
A mass of 2 kg falls 400 cm. The acceleration due to gravity is 9.8 m/s2
(a) Determine the work done by the gravitational force on the mass.
(b) How much gravitational potential energy is lost?
NUMBER 2
A bullet is fired vertically upwards with an initial velocity of 20 m/s. Determine the height of the bullet at a speed of 8 m/s.
NUMBER 3
A 0.25 kg ball moving in the direction of the positive x-axis at a speed of 13 m/s is hit with a stick so that it reverses direction at a speed of 19 m/s. The stick makes contact with the ball in 0.01 seconds. Determine the average force exerted by the stick on the ball.
