A uniform heavy square lamina free to turn about its centre which is fixed, is set rotating with angular velocity 'N' about an axis inclined at 45° to its plane. Show that, in the subsequent motion, the axis of figure of the lamina describes, with uniform angular velocity -1 a right circular cone whose axis is inclined at tan with the invariable line. Find the semi angle of the cone and the uniform angular velocity with which it is described. 7
