I am working on a lab report and need some help understanding
some details regarding LDH.
What I think I understand:
We determine the rate of reaction of Lactate to Pyruvate, since
LDH binds to NADH, we can determine the rate of formation of NAD+
to NADH to calculate how effective the purification/recovery of the
enzyme was. The reduction of NAD+ creates a new maximum absorbance
peak at 340nm.
I would like more details on why we use 340 nm to
determine the activity of LDH?
