Plan a short synthesis for the compound shown below, with all carbon atoms coming from acetone (A) and acetaldehyde (B). Give the appropriate reagent/solvent/catalyst for every step. The conversion should be done in no more than four steps. You can use any substance. (example: 1. CH3MgBr, THF; 2. H3O+ shows a two-step synthesis. You don't need to worry about superscripts/subscripts. Some common abbreviations used in the class are accepted here.
