1) Design a synthesis for the following chemicals that requires the number of reaction steps indicated, starting with a compound of your choice. Note that the chemistry you use here must have been discussed at least once in lecture. Determine the R/S configuration for all chiral centers that undergo a change in chirality (i.e. from R to S or S to R). If appropriate, indicate if the reaction is SN2, SN1, E1, or E2.
