total pressure is 200 kPa. At location (3), 20 kg/s of water
discharges to the atmosphere, which is at 150 kPa. Determine the
following:
Total x and z forces at the two flanges connecting the pipe
neglecting the weight of U-turn pipe and the fluid inside. Take the
momentum-flux correction factor to be 1.05 throughout the
pipes.
