The refrigerant enters the device with a mass flow rate of 6 kg/min at 1 MPa and a temperature of 70 °C, and leaves the device at 35 °C.
On the other hand, the water used to cool the R-134a enters at 300 kPa and 15 °C, and leaves at 25 °C.
Without considering the pressure drops or irreversibilities of the system, determine:
a) The mass flow of cooling water required.
b) The rate of heat transfer from the refrigerant to the water.
c) Based on your calculations, what is the thermal efficiency of the condenser?
