a pump 1 for nonstop operation in a station has MTBF = 2 yrs.
and MTTR = 10 hrs. An older pump 2 with the same capacity is also
used with MTBF = 22 mo. and MTTR = 15 hrs. Perfect switching
between pumps A and B of the plant is assumed.
(i) What is the availability of the station’s pumps?
