2. (a) With an unlimited water supply condition on the ground surface, an infiltration process was monitored. It was recorded that the infiltration rates at the end of the fourth hour was 20.0 mm/hr, and during 4 hours, a total of 100 mm water depth was infiltrated into the soil. Determine the steady state infiltration rate and sorptivity of Philip's equation. Assume that the steady state infiltration rates of Philip's equation and Horton's equation are the same. Use the recorded infiltration data to compute the initial infiltration rate and the value of parameter k of Horton's equation. It is worth noting that k is a non-zero positive value. (12 marks)
