The pre-stressed concrete T-section beam is shown in Figure 1 below is subjected to a compressive force F as shown. Do the following. 4.1. Find the maximum permissible value of e if there is to be no tensile stress at the top of the section. (7) 4.2. Using the obtained value of e, calculate the maximum permissible value of F if the compressive stress in the section is not to exceed 20 MPa.
